Coconut Hot Chocolate

Get a festive feeling with a generous mug of Coconut Hot Chocolate! Best enjoyed after a walk in the snow or sitting by the fire, this holiday inspired drink will be sure to please the entire family.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ¼ cups Milk divided
  • 2 Tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 2.5 Tbsp White Sugar
  • 1/4 Tsp Coconut Extract or Imitation Coconut Extract
  • Whipped Cream for Topping
  • 1 Tbsp Sweetened Flaked Coconut

Method
 

  1. Whisk ¼ cup of milk with cocoa powder and sugar. Set aside.
  2. Heat milk over medium heat, stirring often.
  3. Once milk is warmed throughout, add cocoa powder and sugar mixture to pot. Slowly whisk until fully incorporated.
  4. Remove from heat and add coconut extract.
  5. Pour Coconut Hot Chocolate into your favourite mugs. Top with Whipped cream and sprinkle with Sweetened Flaked Coconut. Enjoy!
