Banana + Brown Sugar Overnight Oats

With the return of Autumn, our mornings just got a whole lot busier! These Banana + Brown Sugar Overnight Oats are a great way to start your day-off on the right foot.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 Bananas
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt
  • Toppings: extra brown sugar, yogurt and/or walnuts

Method
 

  1. Find two 2-cup reusable containers with lids such as jars. In each of the containers, place half the oats at the bottom of the jar and half the brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour half the milk into each container. 



  2. Peel 2 bananas and slice, roughly 1 cm thick; divide banana slices equally among containers.

  3. Top each container with half the yogurt. Cover tightly with lids; refrigerate  overnight (or for 8 hours).

  4. Serve cold, mixed or unmixed with optional toppings of additional yogurt, brown sugar and walnuts.
